Callender Howorth is delighted to announce the completion of yet another stunning interior design project: the total renovation and interior design of an English country house, in the form of a listed manor house in Kent. The client came to Callender Howorth with a single mandate: to create a home that reflected tradition without feeling grand or austere. The team at Callender Howorth, led by Mark Howorth, have dedicated more than two years to restore the near-derelict residence into an exquisite English country house and family home.
The large spaces and high ceilings of the original property were foundations that inspired the design. Bathrooms and kitchens were designed to channel to the classic spirit of the house. Yet, by also adding vibrant colours, the team was able to instil unique touches throughout the property.

Working with English Heritage, and also with significant contributions from local craftsmen and suppliers, the finished project is a superb example of a family home that seamlessly combines practicality and aesthetics while remaining true to its heritage.
